The radio career of FM boor Kyle Sandilands is now in severe doubt after his second suspension by 2Day FM within two months.

2Day FM believes the comments made by Kyle were unacceptable and sincerely apologizes and regrets any offence they caused.” Sandilands is currently broadcasting from Los Angeles.

The comment  that sparked controversy this time is “put her in a concentration camp and watch the weight fall off.”

Sandilands and his co-host, Jackie O’Neil Henderson, had only recently returned to the air after a two-week ”recess” imposed by Austereo when a 14-year-old girl, who was hooked up to a lie detector on their program, revealed she had been raped when she was 12.

Apparently all this news has also been creating a stir on online  portal Twitter.

The pair’s banter on the online messaging site turned bitter on Sunday night as they took pot shots at each other over the ratings of their TV and radio shows.

Hughes at one stage called Sandilands a “deranged loon” and “dim” while Sandilands suggested that Hughes eat a certain unpalatable part of his (Sandilands’) body.

“Ten sacks Sandilands” . Public personalities and clebrities have to show more responsibilty  doing thier jobs specially when they are interacting with public. Its no excuse for a person to behave badly  whetehr in public or even in personal life.

Channel Ten has dumped radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands as a judge on its music talent program Australian Idol.

The network’s decision follows outrage over an on-air incident last week when a 14-year-old girl was strapped to a lie detector and asked about her sexual history on 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show.

The girl revealed she had been raped when she was 12.

As the leader in australian   telecom sector makes a better move towards customer service , just like Nab did as well removing unpopular  fees   customers were getting charged, we hope  that  Other companies like optus  Also follow suit instead of charging customers $2.20 for them to pay their own mobile bill . I was  very pissed off when i noticed this on my bill recently.

If they want online bills they should offer a $2.20 discount to switch to it not charge you for paper bills.

How about the thousands of people who don’t / cant use the internet?
I found signing up to get the paper bills a bit of a pain. That myaccount system for optus is annoying! It was down for a week when I first tried signing up too.

I can’t believe the number of people defending a blatant price gouge. Is anyone trying to say that it actually costs Optus $2.20 to print a paper bill?
Or is it rather that arbitrary and unjust charges are somehow acceptable?
Sure most people have an option. But should they be forced to do it?
If Optus implemented a policy where they would add $50 to your bill for holding your phone in your right hand then the solution is easy – use your left hand! But how stupid to suggest this as being reasonable.
I have had the pleasure of working for optus, and I have questioned similar decisions in the past, and have been assured it was about revenue raising and there was no justification for the cost.
What a bizarre, bizarre world we live in that people are content with that – not just complacent about it but will condescendingly defend it!
Just… wow.

CONSUMER advocates say that new fees for people who prefer to receive their phone bills by mail will hurt low-income earners who do not have access to the internet.

From May 1, Optus will charge mobile phone customers up to $2.20 a month for receiving their bills in the post. The company imposed the fee for new mobile and landline customers in January.

Vodafone already charges $2.20 for paper bills but says it will waive the fee for anyone unable to access the internet.

"The telcos should follow the lead of some of the energy and utility providers who, if you agree to pay your bills online or by direct debit, give you a discount," Christopher Zinn, a spokesman for consumer association Choice, said.

He said not everyone had access to the internet and low-income earners could be affected. "It could be pensioners, migrants, it could be those who want to have a paper bill," he said.

Chung Wah Dance was formed in 1980, with the objective of promoting and preserving Chinese culture not only within the Chung Wah Association but also in multicultural Australia.
Performers are volunteers, they train every Saturday at the Association’s hall in James Street, Northbridge. Any fees charged by the Troupe go towards the teacher’s fees and costumes.
The troupe regularly perform classical and contemporary Chinese dance at a wide range of community events and special celebrations, including Chinese New Year. Performances vary from the classical “Han” and minority dances to contemporary Chinese dances. The Troupe has performed at many venues and events, including the Oz Concert on Australia Day, Chinese New Year Festivals and various other multicultural festivals in Perth and around Western Australia.

The Chung Wah dancers are available for dance performances at Community and Corporate events. Please contact us with your entertainment requirements.
Each item lasts approx five minutes.
The number of dancers will be at least 2 – 3 depending on availability, type of performance and stage size.

About Us

Choreographer/Dance Director – Chang Zhi Dan:
Ms Chang is a graduate of the Yunnan Arts University, majoring in Chinese folk and traditional dances. She has been the choreographer of Chung Wah Dance since 2001.
Leader – Jen Nie Chong:
Jen Nie has studied and performed Chinese Dance since she was thirteen years old, including extensive training under the instruction of Wang Feng Zhi, Professor Li Wen Xiang from the Beijing Academy of Dance and currently Chang Zhi Dan from the Yunnan Arts University. She also enjoys learning Ballroom Dancing, Ballet and Malay Dance. Jen Nie is a Chinese dancing teacher at the Chung Wah Chinese School (Parkwood) and in 1995 played the leading role of Liang Shan Po in the Butterfly Lovers dance production at the Playhouse Theatre and the role of the sea captain in the Fair Maidens of Xia Men also at the Playhouse Theatre.

Select anything from local politics, sport, entertainment, business news – anything you want. Your entry can be any digital video format including webcam. The maximum file size is 20 Mb and acceptable formats include .avi, .mpg, mpeg, .wmv.

The video only needs to be about 25-30 seconds in length, but we won’t penalise you if you go over time. However, up to a minute is definitely all we will be watching, so make sure your video submission doesn’t run over a minute.

WESTPAC has matched the central bank, increasing its standard variable mortgage interest rate by 25 basis points.

The bank’s standard variable home loan rate will rise to 6.31 per cent as of Friday November 6, from 6.06 per cent, Sydney-based Westpac said in a statement on Tuesday.
